    New York, NY (Friday, January 18, 2013) – Join EMERGE! A Fashion Runway Show (http://www.emergefashionny.com) as they present a powerful collective of top emerging fashion designers, ready to unveil their newest collections during the 5th season of Emerge! during New York Fashion Week, Tuesday, February 12, 2012 at the exquisite Broad Street Ballroom  (41 Broad Street – New York, NY) with doors promptly opening at 6:00pm for Red Carpet | VIP Reception and 7:00pm for the Awards Program and Fashion Show.
     
    From a pool of thousands of applicants, four unique designers were chosen to present their Fall 2013 collections during New York Fashion Week.  The featured designers presenting collections are: Parul Aneja, Gorgeous Ways (www.gorgeousways.com); Deidre Jefferies, ESPION Atelier (www.espion.us.com); Bernice Morgan Designersberg (www.designersberg.com) and Butterfli Tia. 
     
    Each season, EMERGE! presents the coveted ‘Fashion Innovator Award’, past honorees have included: Audry Smaltz, President of the Ground Grew (presented to her by Harriette Cole); Constance C.R. White, Editor in Chief of Essence Magazine (presented to her by Tracy Reese); Andre’ Leon Talley, contributing editor of Vogue (presented to him by Diane Von Furstenberg).  EMERGE! will be announcing the ‘Fashion Innovator Award’ honoree in the upcoming weeks.
     
    The MC for the evening will be Dominique Reighard from America’s Next Top Model - Cycle 10.
     
    EMERGE! A Fashion Runway Show was created and produced by Dionne Williams of D. Williams Public Relations Group. Hair design will be provided by Bennett Career Institute and make-up being provided by Lamik Cosmetics.  Other sponsors for the evening include: flowers and production design by Adam Leffel Production with florals being designed by Polpat Klongkhayan, each adding to the events success.

    During the show, Shara Harris, Esq. will be announced as Executive Director of the EMERGE! Brand, which includes EMERGE! Fashion Show, EMERGE! Management and Emerge! workshops and education.  Through EMERGE!, Harris will create education programs and resources for designers throughout the year.
     
    This invite only affair will play host to special invited guests ranging from retail buyers, fashion influencers, top fashion editors, tastemakers, socialites and more.  Previous EMERGE! Fashion Runway show designers have included the well known Terri Stevens, actress India de Beaufort, Elie Kuame, Barbara Bates, Dominique Auxilly, Borris Powell, Michael Alan Stein, Jahi Fitzgerald and many more.

    Always taking its vision a step further, jlehsiek takes inspiration from the 18th Century European ‘salon,’ for their 2013 show. Commonly associated with French literary and philosophical movements of the 17th and 18th centuries, salons would feature refined discussions about popular culture, literature and philosophy.  Salons also served as schools of higher learning for French women of the era, as many were not seeking schooling to build toward careers; these environments provided an opportunity for women of class to demonstrate their intellectual prowess and to learn from one another. Jlehsiek, will reconstruct the concept of a modern day salon within the context of Caribbean lifestyle and architecture. In addition to a breath-taking collection by jlehsiek, guests will be privy to images of Trinidad and Tobago folklore, poetry, stories, and fashion influences to celebrate the rise of the independent nation of Trinidad and Tobago, the nation of origin for designer Keishel Williams.  For a peek at selected looks from past collections, please visit www.jlehsiek.com.
